IND vs NZ ODIs: Prasidh Krishna ruled out of series due to THIS reason

Team India is set to lock horns with New Zealand in the five-match ODI series. The first match is scheduled to be played on November 4 at the Eden Park in Auckland.

Ahead of the series, Team India’s pacer Prasidh Krishna has been ruled out. He is still recovering from his hamstring injury and will need additional time to be match-ready.

The pacer will join India A squad for the third and final four-day matches against New Zealand A. However, his availability will be subject to him clearing the Return to Play (RTP) assessment. This will provide him an opportunity to gain match practice and prepare accordingly for the Test series against the “Black Caps”.

Currently, the “Men in Blue” are busy featuring in the five-match T20I series against the “Black Caps”. The hosts have already sealed the series and are leading by 3-0, with two games yet to be played. It will be interesting to see if the Shreyas Iyer-led men manage to register a whitewash against New Zealand. On the other hand, the hosts will play for the pride and will look to conclude the shortest format’s series on a positive note.
