Ishan Kishan`s 70-run knock helps SRH secure victory by five wickets against CSK

In the IPL 2026 match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) emerged victorious by five wickets at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

With an aim of chasing the target of 181 runs, SRH scored 181 runs for the loss of five wickets in 19 overs.

Impact Player, Travis Head, lost his wicket on six runs in six balls, including a boundary. Fellow opening batsman Abhishek Sharma was dismissed on 26 runs in 21 balls, including three boundaries and a maximum.

Facing 26 balls, Heinrich Klaasen missed his half-century by just three runs. He scored 47 runs with the help of six boundaries and two maximums. Nitish Kumar Reddy also departed on 11 runs in seven balls, which included a boundary.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan also played a stunning knock of 70 runs off 47 deliveries, laced with seven boundaries and three maximums.

Salil Arora and Smaran Ravichandran stayed unbeaten. Facing five balls, Arora scored 10 runs, including a maximum, whereas Smaran scored five runs in two balls, with the help of a boundary.

Having completed his quota of four overs, Impact Player Mukesh Choudhary bagged two wickets by conceding 36 runs. Anshul Kamboj, Noor Ahmad, and Akeal Hosein also bagged one wicket each. Spencer Johnson and Shivam Dube went wicketless in the IPL 2026 match against SRH.

Earlier, having opted to bat first, wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson scored 27 runs in 13 balls, including five boundaries and a maximum. Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad was dismissed after scoring 15 runs in 21 balls.

Urvil Patel was dismissed on 13 runs in eight balls, including two maximums. Kartik Sharma also delivered a knock of 32 runs off 19 deliveries, laced with three boundaries and two maximums.

Later, Dewald Brevis smashed 44 runs off 27 balls, including two boundaries and four maximums. Shivam Dube returned to the pavilion after scoring 26 runs in 23 balls, including three boundaries and a maximum. Prashant Veer accumulated 11 runs in nine balls, including two boundaries. Akeal Hosein stayed unbeaten on three runs in one ball. With this, the Super Kings posted a total of 180 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs against the “Orange Army”.

Hyderabad`s captain Pat Cummins returned with the figures of three wickets for 28 runs in four overs. Sakib Hussain also bagged two wickets by conceding 34 runs in four overs. Eshan Malinga and Praful Hinge also chipped in with one wicket each. Nitish Kumar Reddy and Shivang Kumar went wicketless in the IPL 2026 match against CSK.
