Karnataka bans junk food sale in and around schools and colleges

Karnataka has banned high fat, sugar, and salt food sales near schools and colleges. This move follows a similar decision recently made by the Maharashtra government. Educational institutions must now strictly enforce this advisory to promote healthier eating habits. Officials will conduct inspections and take legal action against any violators found. The state government aims to prevent lifestyle diseases among young students.
