Karnataka CM DK Shivakumar assures compliance as SC orders GBA polls before December 31
The Supreme Court has granted a final extension for Greater Bengaluru Authority elections. These elections for 369 wards will now occur by December 2026. Karnataka cited voter roll revision challenges for the delay. The court criticized previous delaying tactics by the authority. The government committed to completing all pending local body polls this year.
