Karnataka logs 2L dogbite cases, 25 rabies deaths in 4 months

Karnataka is grappling with a surge in dog-bite incidents, with over two lakh cases reported in just the first four months of 2026, tragically leading to 25 rabies deaths. Vijayapura and Bengaluru are among the worst-hit districts. This alarming trend follows a consistent rise in cases and fatalities over the past three years, highlighting a growing public health concern.
