Karnataka mulls separate rural quota for govt school students in CET, NEET admissions

The Karnataka government is exploring an initiative to create a separate reservation for students from rural government schools. This move aims to rectify imbalances in the existing 15% rural quota, which often favors private school students. The proposal includes dividing the quota, allocating 7.5% specifically for government school students to enhance equity in admissions for professional courses.
