Missing safety shield: Bengaluru Metro death revives demand for platform doors
Namma Metro services on the Yellow Line were disrupted for over two hours after a passenger died by suicide at Huskur station, while the incident revived commuters’ long-standing demand for platform screen doors. BMRCL currently has no immediate plans to install the doors across its operational network but has proposed them for 177 stations under the proposed Hebbal-Sarjapur Metro line.
