A significant price surge has been reported in Telangana for certain imported liquors, with luxury rose champagne now priced at Rs 1,16,560 for a 750ml bottle. Other high-end spirits, including premium vodka and gin, have also experienced considerable price increases. The excise department is enforcing compliance with the new maximum retail prices, warning sellers that violations may lead to severe penalties.
