A young cricketer was targeted by a woman on a dating app and later extorted. The fraudster recorded a private video call and demanded money from the player. He transferred a small amount but further demands led him to report the incident. Police are investigating the sextortion racket and advising caution against strangers. Similar incidents involving morphed images and fake profiles have also been reported.
