‘Raped by other Rohingya refugees’: Landlord breaks lock over unpaid rent, finds woman held captive for 5 months in Hyderabad
A young Rohingya woman was trafficked from Bangladesh and confined in Hyderabad for five months. During her confinement, she was raped multiple times by four men, including one who falsely married her. The case came to light when the landlord forced entry to collect unpaid rent. After hearing about the abuse, the woman’s relatives contacted the police for help. Authorities arrested three suspects while the main accused remains at large.
