A commuter in Bengaluru experienced an unfortunate incident during his Rapido ride when his mobile phone was stolen by the rider, Ashutosh Kumar. After making a stop for air pressure checks, Kumar contacted the victim’s sister to demand a ransom of Rs 18,000 for the return of the expensive Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, threatening destruction or resale of the device.
