Serve 5 years, earn permanent job: Karnataka govt’s plan to tackle doctor shortage
Government health institutions in Karnataka are set to offer permanent positions to contractual doctors after five years of satisfactory service, aiming to combat a significant shortage of medical personnel. This initiative, designed to boost job security for young doctors and encourage service in public health facilities, will also see retired doctors recruited on a contract basis to bolster rural healthcare.
