Manchester City skipper Bernardo Silva threw a lavish farewell party for his club teammates after confirming last month that he would depart the Sky Blues in the upcoming transfer window.

The Portuguese midfielder celebrated at Manchester’s Louis Night Club on Tuesday night with several of his teammates turning up and their partners. Striker Erling Haaland arrived with girlfriend Isabel Johansen in his £400,000 (approximately Rs 5.1 crore) Maybach Mercedes S Class. England winger Phil Foden was accompanied by long-time partner Rachel Cooke, while the likes of Ballon d’Or winner Rodri, Matheus Nunes, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Tijjani Reijnders, James Trafford, and Abdukodir Khusanov were also in attendance. According to British tabloid The Sun, the party was from 8 pm to 1:30 am after which Silva and his wife Ines Tomaz were dropped off by City defender Ruben Dias.

Some fans though have questioned the timing of Silva’s party since City had played out a painful 3-3 draw with Everton only a day earlier, leaving them trailing EPL league leaders Arsenal by five points, with four games to go (one more than the Gunners).
