SpaceX Starship V3 splashes down in Indian Ocean:Mission ends with mixed success in debut test flight

The 12th test flight of SpaceX’s Starship megarocket ended dramatically after the spacecraft completed a controlled splashdown in the Indian Ocean despite operating with one engine not working. The spacecraft, a new prototype known as Starship V3, released mock satellites during its short suborbital flight. This was the first Starship test flight since October. SpaceX had faced several problems with its earlier V2 prototype and had cancelled its first planned V3 launch attempt on Thursday evening after technical issues emerged just seconds before lift-off. SpaceX preparing Starship for future missions SpaceX is working to prepare Starship for launching satellites and carrying humans into deep space. The company aims to support NASA’s plan to use the vehicle to land astronauts on the Moon by 2028. At the same time, SpaceX is facing growing attention from investors as it prepares for a record-breaking initial public offering (IPO).
