Telangana’s PAANI app to turn citizens into ‘water warriors’
Hyderabad has launched the PAANI app, empowering citizens to easily report instances of water wastage. Residents can document misuse, such as washing vehicles with potable water, contributing to responsible consumption practices. Local authorities will verify these reports and take action accordingly. Additionally, community members can sign up as water volunteers, promoting active involvement in conservation efforts. Offenders will face penalties to discourage such behavior.
