Nana Patekar, one of the Bollywood and Marathi film industry’s renowned actors, has passed away on Thursday. According to several media reports, he was found unconscious at his residence in Goa and was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead.
Previously, in one of his interviews, the actor had expressed his love towards Team India’s batting legend Virat Kohli. In the video, he was seen saying, “Virat is my one of the cricketers that I love. Whenever he gets out, I don’t feel like having my food”.

Following the actor’s demise, Kohli has paid tribute by sharing a post on his official social media handle. “A true legend of Indian cinema. His work and legacy will live on for generations. Rest in peace, Nana Patekar ji. Om Shanti,” read his post’s caption.

The actor was declared dead at 5.20 AM on Thursday. As per the information shared by Manipal Hospital, doctors tried to revive Patekar for almost 45 minutes before declaring him dead.
On the other hand, Kohli recently made his appearance for Team India during the three-match ODI series against the West Indies.
In the first match of the concluded ODI series, the Delhi-born cricketer smashed an unbeaten knock of 139 runs off just 88 deliveries. His knock was laced with 10 boundaries and nine maximums.
The contest was also considered one of the preparatory series for both teams ahead of the upcoming ODI World Cup 2027. The tournament is set to be co-hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia from October 2 to November 21.
Earlier, a grand ceremony in Johannesburg unveiled the 12 venues that will host next year’s ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, with eight venues in South Africa, three in Zimbabwe and one in Namibia’s capital Windhoek selected as tournament locations.
The semi-final 1 and semi-final 2 of the tournament will be played on November 17 and 18, respectively. The final of the mega event is scheduled to be played on November 21, 2027.
