Why Paris’ Eiffel Tower gets taller during hot summer days

The iconic Eiffel Tower experiences subtle changes in height with shifts in temperature. When the sun shines and temperatures rise, the iron expands, causing the structure to grow a bit taller. Interestingly, this expansion can create a slight lean, but with winter’s return, the metal contracts, returning to its previous form. Additionally, the installation of antennas has resulted in permanent height increases over time.
