Sunil was part of the commando operation launched against the 26/11 terrorist attack at the Taj Hotel in Mumbai. During this, his team saved the lives of 40 people. Then the team took him to the hospital, where he regained consciousness after 7 days. In the hospital, 7 bullets were removed through surgery, but one bullet is still lodged in his chest today.
