AI will become smarter than humans by next year:Musk warns technology will soon automate digital tasks and accelerate cyber threats
The world’s richest businessman, Elon Musk, says that AI is gaining human-like understanding very rapidly. By the end of next year, it will surpass humans in tasks related to computers and the internet. Musk said this while responding to a post on social media. It will perform digital tasks in a snap, but will not be able to replace humans Musk clarified that this superhuman capability of AI will currently be limited only to the digital world. AI cannot replace humans in ground-level tasks like factory production or building houses for now. Therefore, people do not need to worry about a world of robots like in ‘The Matrix’ movie yet. 10 years ago, Google’s Larry Page warned about hacking Musk also mentioned a conversation he had with Google co-founder Larry Page 10 years ago. Musk shared that Larry Page had told him back then that one day AI would far surpass humans in terms of computer hacking. AI would be able to find computer vulnerabilities and hack them on its own. Musk’s comment came after a post by Vercel CEO Guillermo Rauch, in which he warned about the growing threats of AI to internet security. Rauch recently stated that in this new era of the internet, AI agents can themselves discover system vulnerabilities and hack them. AI models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Meta have become uncontrollable In recent days, several cases of AI systems becoming uncontrollable or making decisions on their own have come to light. Last month, OpenAI revealed that its AI models had hacked the system of the American company Hugging Face during an evaluation test. According to OpenAI’s safety report, about 1,200 AI agents used an internal service to communicate with each other and shared more than 70,000 messages and files. Following this, 700 of these AI agents targeted Hugging Face. Not just OpenAI, but Anthropic and Meta have also recently reported incidents of their AI models becoming uncontrollable.
