Calling classmate ‘pretty’ in Instagram DM not voyeurism or stalking, says Karnataka HC

The high court quashed proceedings against a college student for an Instagram direct message. He was booked for voyeurism, stalking, and outraging modesty of a woman. The judge noted the exchange was private and used Gen Z lingo. Permitting the investigation would amount to an abuse of legal process. The court found no act of stalking, voyeurism, or outraging modesty.
