Haryana Human Rights Commission orders IGP-level probe into alleged custodial torture in Gurgaon

The Haryana Human Rights Commission has taken suo motu cognisance of alleged custodial torture. An independent inquiry has been ordered by an officer not below the rank of IGP. Allegations suggest an accused suffered a fractured leg while in police custody. The Commission seeks a comprehensive factual report by September 24.
