Karnataka signals NRI outreach with investment, overseas department
Karnataka government approved a new department for global investment and overseas affairs. This department will facilitate overseas employment and support foreign investors in the state. It will also address welfare issues concerning Non-Resident Kannadigas abroad. A state facilitation council chaired by the Chief Minister will oversee its functions. Additionally, a panel of ministers was formed to vet major government issues.
