‘Learn Hindi or leave job’: Bengaluru Zomato warehouse manager booked for threatening Kannada-speaking staff
A shift manager named Ashok Muttayy was accused of telling Kannada-speaking workers to learn Hindi. After a video of Ashok surfaced on social media, it prompted public backlash against his remarks. A group of pro-Kannada activists protested outside the warehouse demanding action against him. Authorities registered a case and a petition was filed against Ashok for his statements. He later issued an apology for his conduct during the incident.
