The Mumbai Indians (MI) are all set to lock horns with the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the IPL 2026 match on Monday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Ahead of the match, Sherfane Rutherford, who was once a part of the 2020 title-winning squad of MI, spoke about his experience by saying that he enjoyed every bit of it.
“It was a great memory, and I enjoyed every bit of it. You have to have that hunger to win; no opposition team will give you a victory easily. You can achieve anything once you put your mind to it. It is not always how you start a tournament; since it is a long one, you can always bounce back from difficult situations,” he said on MI`s official website.
He then shared his experience of working alongside former West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard.
“Since I have known him for a very long time, it is easy to get along with him. We spend a lot of time on the net together, and he answers a lot of my questions. I have an opportunity to create my own legacy in this team,” said Rutherford.
Currently, the “Paltan” is placed in the last position with one win and four defeats from five games. They have a net run rate (NRR) of -1.076 and two points. On the other hand, the Titans are in the sixth position with three wins and two losses. The Shubman Gill-led team has a net run rate (NRR) of +0.018 and six points.
