Telangana HC junks woman’s custodial torture plea, cites contradictions in remand proceedings
Telangana High Court dismissed a woman’s plea alleging illegal detention and torture by Hyderabad police. The court found her claims contradicted by her own statements to a magistrate during remand, where she reported no ill-treatment. The petition sought a SIT probe, compensation, and preservation of evidence, but was deemed lacking merit.
