There's a new place for cookies in Kala Ghoda; here's all you need to know
[[{“value”:”
Mumbaikars have had a delightful relationship with cookies as they experiment different types that appeal to everybody with a sweet tooth, and amid the restaurant and cafe boom in the city, especially in Bandra and the western suburbs, they have one more reason to make a trip to South Mumbai, as a new cookie shop has opened in Kala Ghoda.
Interestingly, this will be the third store in the city for Ben’s Cookies, the British cookie brand established in 1983, after opening in Kurla and BKC this year. However, this is also their seventh store in India across Delhi NCR and Mumbai in just four months.
All you need to know about the Mumbai store
Founded at Oxford’s historic Covered Market, Ben’s Cookies is known for its chunky, gooey cookies and freshly baked Cookies. The choice of Kala Ghoda puts a 10-12 seater cookie spot for Mumbaikars right in the middle of heritage buildings, art galleries and cultural landmarks while offering diners freshly baked cookies and coffee while spending time in the neighborhood.
The menu includes all 13 flavours of cookies, along with coffees, ice creams and soft serve. Diners will be able to enjoy the cookies on their own or pair them with ice cream and soft serve for a dessert, a menu that is available across all outlets.
The cookies, coffees, gifting boxes and tins will also be available on Swiggy and Zomato. However, ice creams and soft serve will be served only at the store. The gifting range also caters to birthdays, weddings, festive celebrations and corporate gifting.
The new store is seventh among eight to ten stores expected to open during the current financial year, followed by another four to six outlets. With a strong presence in Mumbai, north India will be a focus for the next phase of expansion.
