The Rajasthan Royals stunned the Punjab Kings by 6 wickets to end their unbeaten run. RR chased down a massive total of 223 with 6 wickets to spare and moved to number 3 in the table.

RR got off to a flying start while chasing PBKS` target of 223 runs to win. Teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored 43 runs in 16 balls to give RR a fast start.
In the end, Donovan Ferreira scored a match-winning 52 runs in 26 balls. He was well supported by Shubham Dubey, who scored an unbeaten 31 runs in just 12 deliveries to take RR home.

Speaking after the defeat, Shreyas Iyer admitted that his team fell short with their bowling.

“224 was a brilliant score. It was an exceptional performance on a tacky surface. We fell short with our bowling. This is a format where a lot of players have changed the game. It`s all about execution. Today wasn`t our day. It`s important that we stick to the things we`ve been doing. The body was also a bit fatigued, but that can`t be the reason. This is our first loss of the season, which definitely teaches us a lot. We just have to push it aside. In retrospect, many things could have happened. It was difficult to score off the spinners. Hats off to Harpreet Brar.” Shreyas Iyer said.
