Design built for durability All three Pixel 11 models feature a refined design with edge-to-edge glass extending across the signature Pixel camera bar. The camera bar on the Pixel 11 is 40% thinner than before, giving the phone a slimmer profile. When used with a Made by Google case, the device can sit almost flat without wobbling on smooth surfaces. The Pixel 11 combines a bright Actua display with a satin-finish metal frame and polished glass back. It is also designed to withstand everyday splashes, scratches, and drops. The Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL are offered in two sizes and feature Google’s brightest-ever Super Actua display, with peak brightness of up to 3,600 nits. The displays also have a new anti-scratch coating that offers more than twice the scratch resistance of the previous generation. Combined with a drop-resistant design, Google says the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL are its most durable Pro phones yet.
Camera gets a major upgrade The Pixel 11 series brings several camera improvements, including upgraded 5x telephoto cameras and better zoom capabilities. Google has also made the camera bar around 40 per cent thinner than the Pixel 10, giving the phones a slimmer look. Google said the new devices are designed to offer improved camera experiences while helping users capture photos and videos in their own style. These phones are designed for Gemini Intelligence to deliver time-saving, personal help and include new camera experiences that will help you better capture the moment in your authentic style.
Tensor G6 powers the new Pixel lineup All three Pixel 11 phones are powered by Google’s new Tensor G6 processor. According to Google, the new chip is 20% more power efficient and enables browsing speeds that are up to 25% faster. The processor also improves low-light photography and supports the new 120x zoom feature on the Pixel 11 Pro XL. Google said the new chip can run its latest AI models with lower latency, although it did not provide specific figures for the improvement. Pixel 11 gets a new HiLight feature
The Pixel 11 series introduces a noticeable change to Google’s familiar camera bar design. The new ‘HiLight’ system adds a small multicoloured LED module to the camera bar. The lights can show different colours for notifications and alerts, allowing users to see certain updates without turning the phone’s screen on.
Google had already teased the feature ahead of the launch, giving users a glimpse of the lights built into the Pixel 11 Pro’s camera bar. The feature gives the Pixel 11 a more distinctive look without making major changes to its overall design.
Pixel 11 gets more Gemini-powered features One of the biggest changes this year is the deeper integration of Gemini. Google is moving towards AI that can do more tasks on a user’s behalf.
For users in India, Gemini will be able to help with tasks such as ordering groceries, booking rides, and getting coffee. It can also contact businesses on a user’s behalf to make restaurant reservations or schedule appointments. Users will remain in control and can stop or take over these tasks whenever they want. Google will also allow users to check transcripts from calls handled by AI. The company has also upgraded ‘Magic Cue,’ which was introduced last year. The feature can now use information from different apps to provide suggestions based on what the user may need, such as recommending a cafe, shopping place, or a show.
