Meta launches AI device ‘Muse Charm’:Samsung and Apple are also bringing these five new AI gadgets
Meta recently showcased several gadgets focused on AI and new technology at an event, going beyond its social media apps. These include new AI smart glasses developed in partnership with Ray-Ban, as well as new VR glasses weighing just 100 grams. This means AI is now making its way into wearable devices as well. Meta Unveils Several AI Gadgets, Coming Next Year The most distinctive device in this race is Meta’s ‘Muse Charm’. It is a small pendant-like device. With Muse AI, an animated avatar on the screen will answer users’ questions, and the device can be used without a phone or smart glasses. Meanwhile, the new AI glasses will allow users to talk to Meta AI, listen to music, capture photos and videos, and make calls. The VR glasses will provide an experience of a large virtual screen anywhere, without requiring a large physical display. Companies such as Samsung and Apple are also entering this race. Muse Charm: Your AI assistant in your pocket The Muse Charm is a small device featuring a screen, speaker, microphone and fingerprint scanner. Users will be able to keep it in their pocket and talk directly to Muse AI. The AI will respond to instructions through an animated avatar displayed on the screen. It can also be used without a phone or smart glasses. 2. Samsung Glasses: Control AI with your voice These glasses feature a camera and a Snapdragon chip. The camera can be used to identify objects and surroundings, capture photos and videos, and edit them with the help of Gemini. Unlike traditional smart speakers such as Alexa, its focus will be less on simply taking commands and more on having conversations with AI and helping users with different tasks. Price: Around Rs 29,000 4. Apple AI AirPods: Expected to launch with iPhone Apple is working on new AirPods equipped with cameras, which could arrive alongside the iPhone next year. The cameras could be used to understand the surroundings and provide Siri with contextual information. The current AirPods Pro are priced at Rs 27,900, while the new camera-equipped AirPods are expected to be more expensive. 5. Meta VR Glasses: A virtual cinema in just 100 grams These glasses will allow users to watch 3D movies and create a large virtual screen anywhere. The interface can be controlled through eye movements, while hand gestures and voice commands can be used to give instructions. The glasses weigh just 100 grams. Price: Rs 1.25 lakh
