The company shared information about this launch via its X handle. This will be the first smartphone in the Redmi Note 17 series, which was recently launched in China. In China, this phone was launched alongside the Redmi Note 17 Pro, but there is no confirmation yet regarding the arrival of the Pro model in India. In India, this smartphone is likely to be available on Amazon India, as well as Redmi’s online store and retail outlets. Powerful 8,000mAh Battery Redmi has confirmed the phone’s battery capacity. The Note 17 will feature a large 8,000mAh battery, which is similar to the Chinese variant. This will be one of the largest batteries in this segment, allowing the phone to be used for several days on a single charge. The Chinese variant also supports 45W fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging, which can also be used to charge other devices. What could be the price? According to leaked reports, the starting price of the 6GB + 128GB variant of the Redmi Note 17 5G could be Rs 30,000. Meanwhile, the 8GB + 128GB model is estimated to cost up to Rs 33,000. If this information proves to be correct, there will be a significant increase in the price of the Redmi Note series. For comparison, the Redmi Note 15 was launched in January 2026 at a starting price of Rs 22,999. Accordingly, the new model could be about Rs 7,000 more expensive.
